Serves 6-8

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp ground turmeric
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper (fine)
  • 2 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 lemons, juiced
  • ¼ cup Comvita Mānuka Honey
  • Optional: apple cider vinegar to taste
  • Soda/tonic water + ice

Method:

  1. Into a small pot, add ground turmeric, ground black pepper, grated ginger, lemon juice and ½ cup of water.
  2. Allow to cool and transfer into a jar.
  3. Stir through Comvita Mānuka Honey and store in the fridge.

To use:

  • Add a 1-2 tbsp into a glass or mug.
  • Top up with hot/cold or sparkling water or tonic to taste with a fresh lemon slice.

Note: If you don’t want the grated ginger bits, pour through a sieve and use the back of a spoon to press all the juice out.
